Committed to Change

What's Behind Our Logo?

When schizophrenia is untreated or not responded to treatment, it can be overwhelming for all involved. In can feel like being lost at sea within a storm - and feelings of confusion, disorientation, and hopelessness can ensue.

A lighthouse can provide a beacon of hope during these times.

Schizophrenia InSight strives to be a beacon for those affected by schizophrenia.

Schizophrenia InSight has two inherent meanings.

"Insight"

Problem: Those affected by schizophrenia are at higher risk for negative outcomes because there is a limited understanding of and funding for the disease due to the stigma around it.

Commitment: Bring more understanding about schizophrenia, including an investment in research and education.

"In Sight"

Problem: Schizophrenia is associated with discrimination and poor outcomes, and yet most people are not aware of these struggles.

Commitment: Bring awareness to issues surrounding schizophrenia by increasing advocacy and care.
